Program Info
The Everestia Target Volatility Program utilizes indicators in the volatility market for decision making. Volatility market indicators includes VIX spot, volatility smile / smirk / forward skew, VIX future curve, correlation between volatility and underlying S&P 500. The main instruments traded in the Program are VIX futures. The strategy holds a mix of long VIX futures and short VIX futures of various expiration dates, and/or with other correlated futures, such as S&P 500 futures. The strategy is quantitative and deeply rooted in the complex, sound modern theory of financial mathematics. The strategy is also supported by ample data analytics, such as mean reversion behavior of volatility in the equity derivatives market. Everestia aims to capture the theta effect of the basket of options.
Company Info
Everestia Target Volatility Fund, LLC (the
"Fund"), a Delaware limited liability company, is an
investment fund. Investment decisions for the Fund
are made by Everestia LLC (“Everestia”).
The Fund is traded by Everestia pursuant to
its investment program called the “Everestia Target
Program,” a systematic and mechanical program that
primarily trades the Chicago Board Options
Exchange's Volatility Index (“VIX”) and the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange’s S&P 500 futures and options
contracts, including E-mini S&P 500 futures and
options contracts. The Fund may trade, depending
on market conditions, other Derivatives as well.
Generally, when the S&P drops VIX rises
and when the S&P rises one should expect VIX to
move lower. However, there are periods when both
the S&P 500 and VIX move in the same direction.
Everestia’s goal is to capture these price
changes in the most efficient manner possible
providing competitive risk adjusted returns over a five-
year investment horizon.
Everestia believes that the Fund provides an
attractive and effective vehicle to implement its
Everestia Target Program for the benefit of investors.
In particular, unlike a separate account, the liability of
each investor in the Fund will be limited to the capital
that he or she invests in the Fund plus undistributed
profits.
Nonetheless, an investment in the Fund
should only be considered by investors that can
assume the significant risks associated with trading
futures contracts in general and stock index futures
contracts in particular. As a result, an investment in
the Fund should not generally exceed 10% of your
liquid net worth.
